Bob Clayton, aka DJ Big Bob, is a legend in the roller skating world. As one of the pioneers of the roller disco era, Bob worked his way through the NY rink circuit of the 1970s before landing a multi-decade residency at the “mecca”, Brooklyn’s Empire Roller Disco. Big Bob has been cited as an influence by international dance music legends like “Little Louie” Vega and Moodymann. He held a monthly party at RollerJam USA until it closed and continues his legacy with a residency and consultancy at Brooklyn’s Xanadu Roller Arts.

Cotto
James Cotto is a staple and icon of the NYC dance skate scene. Hailing from Manhattan’s Lower East Side, in the early 70s Cotto quickly established himself with one of the most unique styles in the city. Along with his crew, The Crown King Rollers, Cotto’s trademark moves were a dominating force in battle circles around city parks and venues like NYC’s legendary Roxy nightclub. Today, Cotto continues to dazzle audiences and dominate the competition as a regular performer at The Dreamland Roller Disco parties.
The Liberty Girls
The Liberty Girls are a powerhouse collective of women-identifying rollerskaters born and raised in New York City. United by a shared passion for skating, they are more than just a crew—they are a movement.
Rooted in community, culture, and activism, the Liberty Girls create space for marginalized voices, champion inclusivity, and inspire the next generation of skaters. Whether on the streets, in the rink, or at the forefront of social change and service, they roll with purpose—breaking barriers, fostering connections, and spreading joy.

Director, Producer: Aaron Matthews
Aaron Matthews is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose work has screened at over 50 film festivals around the world. He is the producer and editor of the oscar-winning documentary ‘Colette’. Matthews’s films are featured on a variety of outlets including HBO, PBS, Netflix, Disney+, National Geographic, CNN, and Discovery, among others.
Director, Producer: John Whitlock
John Whitlock is an visual artist and creative director living and working in Brooklyn, NY. His visual work has been exhibited and published internationally. Having become enamored with roller skating and the vibrant community around it in recent years, John has begun an ongoing project to document the NY scene under the name Halcyon Half-life.
Producer: Kari Rimell
Kari Rimell is a designer and lifelong roller skater living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She spent the early 2000s as a jammer for Baltimore’s Charm City Roller Girls and is currently enjoying the more relaxed pace of rhythm skating in NYC’s rink scene.

Luko M is an electronic musician from Brooklyn, New York. He has released four solo albums. The most recent, Night Walking (Specious Arts) "captures the essence of modern experimental music while maintaining a captivating, immersive quality" (electronica.org.uk) Luko is half of the indietronica duo Cicada, whose EP Autumn was the most-listened-to electronic record of 2024 on Nina Protocol. He has composed original music for feature length films broadcast on Disney Plus, HBO, and CNN, including the score for Marvel's Director by Night.
